Many stakeholders are increasingly urging asset managers to consider the effects of their investments beyond the bottom line. This includes calls for greater representation of diverse individuals, evaluating the effects of investment on employee outcomes, and integrating ESG into the investment process, among other things.
We help clients articulate clear and concise definitions of impact based on their unique strategic goals. We also help determine methods for measuring impact using metrics developed in academia and refined by industry leaders. Finally, we help clients to understand their impact performance in context, relative to the rest of their portfolio as well as to industry benchmarks.
Past work highlights
We assessed the impact on portfolio companies of ownership by a large US PE firm by quantifying a number of metrics informed by academic best practices. The results were presented by the firm to investors in several of its annual group meetings.
