Samuel Holt, Senior Analyst

Samuel Holt, Senior Analyst, graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies with a Master’s in International Economics and Relations, where he concentrated on Latin American Studies with a focus on International Finance and Quantitative Methods. His research included Forecasting the Brexit Effect on USD-Euro Exchange and Quantifying the Economic Effect of the Mexican War on Drugs. He interned with ManattJones Global Strategies, the United States Treasury’s Department of International Affairs, and worked as research assistant for Professor Dr. Francisco González.

Before entering Johns Hopkins, Samuel graduated cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors’ in History and departmental honors in Philosophy. During his time there, he completed a semester of Spanish and History at the University of Salamanca in Spain. After graduation, Samuel taught English and implemented community development projects in rural Costa Rica with WorldTeach, an NGO. He is fluent in Spanish.
