Rahat Dewan, Analyst, joined Bella after graduating from Boston University with a Master’s in Economics, where he concentrated on Corporate Finance and Econometrics. His thesis papers were Protest Culture and Political Divergence and Forecasting the GBP/USD Exchange Rate. He also completed independent coursework in data science and machine learning.
Prior to graduate school, Rahat graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a Bachelors’ in Economics. He interned at PKSF in Bangladesh, where he wrote the paper Microfinance and Microenterprise Development: Evidence from Bangladesh analyzing the industry. During his studies he also spent several months in a UK Department for International Development (DFID) program in rural Tanzania, where he worked on improving the local schooling system.
